WINDEA Offshore acquires share in Heinemann Projektberatung

WINDEA HPB

HAMBURG – WINDEA Offshore GmbH & Co. KG from Hamburg has become a minority shareholder in Heinemann Projektberatung GmbH, based in Wilhelmshaven and Elsfleth, since the beginning of March. Both companies see various synergies in the areas of industry training and materials management through closer cooperation and benefit from each other’s know-how as well as customer network. Due to the same industry environment, both partners have great potential for new customer access and innovative business developments. The founder and CEO of Heinemann Projektberatung GmbH, Holger Heinemann, remains the majority shareholder and will continue to manage the operational business of the company.

WINDEA Offshore has been offering a wide range of services and holistic logistics solutions for the offshore wind industry since 2011. This includes the provision of service technicians and other personnel who are deployed along the offshore wind value chain and need to be trained accordingly. So far, the training of these personnel, e.g. according to GWO standards, has not been part of the company’s own portfolio. “The need for industry training prescribed by authorities and by customers, both based on fixed standards and to customer-specific requirements, is growing steadily worldwide. Likewise, software-based real-time management of personal protective equipment (PPE), tools and other assets is the future and is increasingly demanded and further developed both within our group of companies and on the market. The service portfolio therefore fits perfectly into our sales and business development strategy and Heinemann Projektberatung is the perfect partner for this with many years of experience and an impressive track record,” says Caspar Spreter, Managing Director of WINDEA Offshore.

Heinemann Projektberatung was founded in Wilhelmshaven in 2011 and has since then been managed by Holger Heinemann as owner and managing director. The main training center is located in Elsfleth, near Bremen. A large number of the trainings can also be conducted directly at the customer’s site, onsite or as interactive online training. Under the brand “windskills”, the range of services focus on industrial training for the onshore and offshore wind industry, in particular safety training in accordance with GWO standards, corresponding training in accordance with national requirements (BG/DGUV), and technical training for the entire system cycle. Standardized Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET) as well as specific training, for example for the flight crew (HEMS), complete the portfolio. The possibility of adapting training courses to the real protection, safety and rescue concepts of the respective customer should be emphasized, in order to establish safe procedures and to continuously develop these further in partnership.

Holger Heinemann, Managing Director of Heinemann Projektberatung, gives an outlook: “WINDEA Offshore’s sales strength, market access and product development capabilities will give us new impulses to further develop our business. With WINDEA as our partner, we intend to accelerate the development of training locations, expand our customer base and continuously expand our young business field of materials management through professional product development.”

In autumn 2017, Heinemann Projektberatung expanded its portfolio to include the software-based real-time materials management, offering storage, inspection, maintenance, commissioning, and tracking of equipment (e.g., PPE) as well as tools and other materials for customers in the wind industry. Since then, this business area has been further developed due to the steadily growing demand in the market and is to be transferred to other industries. This is because customers usually lack the necessary human and time resources to set up a flawless management of such assets. The full-service approach specially developed by Heinemann Projektberatung enables customers to have mobile digital access to transparent and valid real-time data regarding the history, status, and affiliation of the materials.
